I am going to introduce you all to something I learnt whilst studying at MAX (college for fitness profesionals).

Your Circle Of Influence, in a nutshell this is who you hang out with, who you spend most of your time with, the people you trust and who you respect.

To put it simply, if you hang out with negative people, you will become negative. If you hang out with positive people, you will become positive.

Choose not to be exscluive but rather, simply promise yourself you will not place yourself in a group of friends or co-workers that bring you down or put a dampen on the mood.

If you want to live a positive, happy life...... firslty change your circle of influence, then change YOU.

Why have values? How can they benefit YOU?

           Trust

I have recently learnt, and make it a daily commitment of mine, to trust myself in the hard, scary or stressful times and I am never afraid to ask others for help- and trust that they actually do have my best interests at heart. It is important to make sure your circle of influence (the people around you) are trust worthy and reliable also. If you hang out with negative people..... you will become negative; simple as that. Alternativley, hang out with people that birng out the best in you, make this change gradually and you will soon have a great group of trustworthy and genuine people surrounding you- it's just that simple!

Everyone talks about 'healthy living' as if it is unique, or a big massive lifestyle change, diet and serious commitment. In reality, healthy living is and can be easy, simple and 100% enjoyable for everyone.

There is no need to think of clean, wholesome eating as a diet or something that is only for fitness proffesionals or people in the industry. This is something EVERYONE can take part in, and commit to each and everyday without even trying or changing too much!

There is no 'quick fix', no 'shake', no 'five minute exercise regime' that will make your health and fitness goals a reality. It does take time, it does take self control but it does NOT have to be a big massive plan or program that changes every thing about your life and begins to have a negative impact on you and the ones around you. Healthy living is different for everyone, not everyone reacts the same way and not everyone enjoys the same kind of foods or exercise. Similarly, if your occupation is busy and stressful, this can have impacts on your healthy living so therefore you would need a different program to someone who may not currently have a job that is in high demand! Your age, gender and rate of physical activity will also impact on your total health so these factors come into play also, but don't worry about this stuff just yet; I will go into more detail in my articles and blogs!

Here are ten changes you can make RIGHT NOW to get your health, fitness and life goals started:

  1. Write down your goals- do they have a time frame? are the specific? WHAT ARE THEY??

  2. Write down your values- What do you expect of people? what is your ideal version of yourself?

  3. Evaluate your circle of influence, are they helping or hindering your success and happiness?

  4. Document your eating for 48hours (be HONEST, this will help when making changes to your daily food intake)

  5. MOVE MORE- go for a walk, go to the gym, go for a jog, go for a swim JUST MOVE!

  6. Drink more water- this will help ease your stress, keep you hydrated, help your skin clear up, keep your metabolic rate up, help with diegestion any many other things.... WATER CAN DO EVERYTHING!

  7. Get lots of sleep- at least seven hours a night. If you are tired, have a good old nana nap!

  8. Eat some greens, ANYTHING GREEN (that comes from a tree or the ground!)

  9. Make sure you're eating some meat, at least three times a day!

  10. SMILE, LAUGH AND DO THE THINGS YOU LOVE TO DO!

Healthy living

           Honesty

The first step to creating and maintaning honesty as a whole is to be 100% honest with yourself. There will be many times in your life that you face a hardship and it will be easier to justify making a wrong decision by lying to yourself than being brutally honest and going for the tough choice instead.

If you have the will power to be honest with yourself, and comfortable with the decision you make- you will be in a better place in the long run, guarantee.

The next step is to be honest with the people in your circle of influence. If you expect honesty from them, you must first be honest to them. Once again, to be honest with someone else, you need to be honest with yourself and know in your heart you are doing the write thing and making the right decisions.

           Belief

This is a big one for me. I am naturally a very anxious girl that allows stress to get the better of me (SOMETIMES) and to be honest this can tend to get in the way of belief. How? well.... when my anxiety and stress was really, really bad I use to struggle to beleive in anyone, especially myself. â€‹This negativity put a halt on my goals and aspirations both as a student and an athlete. It wasn't until a few people (Georgia Ridler of Sports Pysh Queensland, Vannessa O'leary my coach and my Mum and Dad- just to name a few) pointed this out to me that it began to show through to me each day. I started to make changes to this by believing in myself, then others and eventually seeing the positive in every single person I met before the negative. Try it..... you will be surprised!
